About NACW

Around the world, keen and vested attention is focused on the development of carbon markets, climate policies and innovative solutions to address the climate crisis and keep warming from exceeding 1.5C. The completion of the Article 6 rulebook of the Paris Agreement, countless carbon neutral and net zero pledges from the business sector and governments, financial investments in climate solutions and uprising of voices around the world demonstrate the strength that can support these initiatives.

For veteran stakeholders in the climate sector and new participants alike, there is plenty of new navigating that needs to be done to grasp recent and future policy developments and robust climate solutions. To continue its longstanding tradition of facilitating education, collaboration and forward progress on addressing the climate crisis, the Climate Action Reserve is pleased to present the nineteenth annual North American Carbon World (NACW) conference April 6-8 in Anaheim, California.

NACW represents the largest North American event addressing the most pressing issues in climate policy and carbon pricing and features comprehensive and up-to-date information, key thought leaders advancing innovative climate solutions, and the best networking opportunities with colleagues in the business, government, nonprofit, and academic sectors. NACW 2022 will explore subnational and international climate policy, carbon pricing, climate finance, LCFS and robust climate solutions. For all of these reasons and more, NACW has long been considered the must-attend event of the year for climate policy and carbon pricing.

About the Climate Action Reserve

The Climate Action Reserve is a pioneer in carbon accounting and the most experience, trusted and efficient offset registry to serve the carbon markets. With deep roots in California and a reach across North America, the Reserve encourages actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and works to ensure environmental benefit, integrity and transparency in market-based solutions to address global climate change. It serves the California compliance market as an Offset Project Registry and has played an integral role in the development and administration of the state’s cap-and-trade program. For the voluntary market, the Reserve establishes high quality standards for carbon offset projects, oversees independent third-party verification bodies and issues and tracks the transaction of carbon credits (Climate Reserve Tonnes®) generated from such projects in a transparent, publicly-accessible system

Drawing from its experience and expertise in GHG accounting, the Reserve developed the Climate Impact Score program to quantify and assess the climate impact of projects financed by investments and the Climate Forward program designed to accelerate action on climate change by encouraging companies and organizations to proactively invest today in projects that mitigate future GHG emissions.

The Climate Action Reserve is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit organization headquartered in Los Angeles, California.
